"Hands Of Others" Ministry
“Hands of Others” started as a small group of people from various walks of life with one simple goal, making sure anyone that wanted a Bible would have one. This goal evolved into
helping those in need through various community service projects.
Their first outing was a Bible drive at Joseph Beth Booksellers where they collected 18 Bibles. Only 3 people participated, but they were elated in the outcome. They collected financial donations they did not expect, but were blessed to receive.
The next opportunity to serve was at St. Andrews, a halfway house where they served meals once a month to show the men of the house that God loves them regardless of their past. These meals have drawn support from places like UPS, various churches and youth. This ministry serves
& organizes several events a year such as a charity ride for the Ronald McDonald House, and cookouts to feed the homeless.
This wonderful group “Hands of Others” came to serve our teen moms and babies at All Gods Children in various ways. On the 2nd Sunday of each month, this ministry provides a meal based on a theme (i.e. back to school, birthdays, cultural, etc.). They spend countless hours planning a complete nutritious meal and also supplies to do crafts, games, music, etc. Just recently they helped us to start the school year with a bang, by providing much needed backpacks full of school supplies for each resident and extras for future residents as well.
“Hands of Others” continues to grow each day and looks for more places to serve and spread the word of God. They currently have a core group of around 20 people and over 330 members total.
