Speaking from Experience...

Karl and Pam Smith are the founders of All God’s Children (AGC), a non-profit organization in Nicholasville, Ky. providing a full-time residential program to abused, neglected, and misdirected teen mothers and their babies. Karl serves as CEO while Pam is Founder and Program Director of AGC, which was organized in 1996 and opened its residential program in 1999. Both Karl and Pam are available to come to your church or other organization to speak on a variety of topics.

Karl Smith

Karl Smith

In addition to being CEO of All God’s Children, Karl Smith currently serves as Chairman of the Jessamine County Board ofEducation, where he has been a board member since 1996. He is the former Vice-President in charge of the Motorsports and Entertainment Division of Hunter Manufacturing Group of Lexington and formerly was a weekend television news anchor for WTVQ, Channel 36 in Lexington.

As a Bible Study teacher, Karl has taught from the Bible for over 20 years. He is a passionate speaker who brings truth from God’s Word on a variety of topics to different groups. He is available to teach or preach at those times when a pastor has unexpected absences or illnesses. Or perhaps you might consider scheduling him for a special service when you plan a guest speaker.

While Karl is ready to teach/preach on almost any topic, he also offers four general presentation formats (at least 25 - 40 minutes per presentation):

  • A hard-hitting personal testimony. This format includes the many obstacles and difficult years Karl and his family had to endure before he accepted and began serving Jesus. Although this format is primarily designed for male audiences, it can also be powerful for women who have gone through similar situations with a spouse, boyfriend, or even a child.
  • An overview of the history, purpose, and operation of AGC. This format is most useful for groups who have
little or no knowledge of AGC. Designed for mixed gender audiences.
  • A dramatic and sobering look at child abuse, neglect, and failure of parents taken directly from “real” cases at AGC. This is designed for adults who have a little knowledge of AGC and want to know how critical the program is in today’s culture.

Pam Smith

Pam Smith began volunteering in 1986 as a counselor for a crisis pregnancy center in Lexington, following a passion to help girls who were in hopeless, crisis pregnancy situations. But like many who work with those in need, Pam had a desire to follow up—she wanted to know what happened to the girls after they left the center’s care.

It became clear to Pam that she was supposed to do more. “During my prayer time, God began to show me a home— not an institution, but a home,” Smith explains. “It was a Christ-centered home with lots of love, family meals and brightly decorated rooms. But with that love came structure, discipline, progress in school, proper child care and new independent living skills. What a wonderful place to offer someone in crisis.”

From that desire in Pam’s heart, All God’s Children (AGC) was developed. Now as the Founder and Program Director, Pam loves to share her story of this ministry with others.

Her general topics consist of but are not limited to:

  • An overview of the history and purpose of AGC. Most useful for groups with little or no knowledge of AGC. Designed for mixed gender audiences.
  • A hard-hitting look at child abuse, neglect, and failure of parents taken directly from those AGC serves. This is designed for adults who have a little knowledge of AGC and want to know how critical the program is in today’s culture.

Note: Any of Karl’s or Pam’s comments will also address many of the near miraculous events that have occurred in the AGC ministry.
