Mount Beulah United Methodist Church
Mount Beulah United Methodist Women of Pollard Community in Nicholasville were made aware of the ministry of All God's Children to teen moms and their babies in 2009. One the attendees knew about this ministry first hand when it touched the life of her niece in a positive way. The idea of helping with the needs of AGC was brought to the congregation in the Fall of 2009.
The ladies of Mount Beulah United Methodist Church have ministered to the young women and babies of All God’s Children in numerous ways. Many sewed baby quilts while others within their congregation brought in items for the babies like diapers, baby wipes, baby food, and items for the girls such as lip gloss, gum, and many other items. Their first donation was received around November of 2009. Then in December they decided to give each girl a personalized Christmas card that was truly unique and one of a kind.
This year (2010) this small church has ministered to our young women and their babies by preparing dinner, bringing a craft for each girl, and ministering the love of Jesus Christ. They now plan to visit our residents on the 4th Sunday of each month as an off-shoot of their visitation ministry. They will provide a complete meal during each visit which will include decaffeinated drinks for our pregnant moms, and top it off with a home baked tasty dessert. The evening will also include time for playing games, making crafts, sewing, or other various activities. They are so gracious and have said they are just so very glad to be a very small part of the work All God’s Children is doing.
All God’s Children would like to express our thanks to these wonderful ladies and the congregation of Mount Beulah United Methodist Church. We welcome all ministries within the community to become involved with us to minister to these young girls and babies by combining state, church, and local community resources to minister not only to the physical needs but to the spiritual and emotional needs as well.
