Lance McNees
4/28/10
Karl & Pam,
I thought you would enjoy seeing Lance’s first day of school and last year also. Where did 18 years go? Please pray for Lance as he is making “college” decisions and just exactly what he wants to do.
Oh my goodness, thank you for what you have meant and still do mean to us! What a blessing you have been to SO many young women.
Love and hugs to you both,
-Annette

Teona Tillman
Teona Tillman came to All God's Children with three goals:
#1 To graduate high school,
#2 To have a healthy baby boy (even though she did not know what her baby was at the time.),
#3 To go home.
We would like to announce that she accomplished all three. On June 4th, 2010, Teona graduated from East Jessamine High School and Karl was able to hand her diploma to her personally. After the ceremony and many hugs and tears from AGC staff, Teona's left for home with her family.
In June, Teona's baby boy was born several weeks early with her family by her side.
AGC would like to congratulate Teona on reaching her goals and never looking back. "Well done. T."
“It is sad that we take so much for granted sometimes. It is shocking and it seems so unreal. Yes, AGC influenced me. I honestly look at people around me and realize I use to be some of them. I thank God otherwise I would probably not be who I am today. All those classes help me to be the mom I am today. God has blessed me with a lot of patience. I am also proud to say that all of you helped make a difference in my life.”
ARE WE MAKING A DIFFERENCE?
As a supporter of this ministry you have the right to ask us the question… “Are you making a difference in the work you do?” The simple answer is “yes…we ARE making a difference.” But how can we provide the information that supports our claim? We believe that these words from previous residents, their testimonies, speak volume to all who are inquiring. These words from past residents of All God’s Children also provide our staff with the courage and strength to keep pushing toward the goals we know are right and proper—regardless of how they are received at the time. (Please note: we did not edit these comments.)
“I miss you all so much. I miss having talks with you. You were always there when I needed to talk. I miss your advice. I guess it would have helped a lot more if I had listened more than I did. I know that I didn’t always treat you with the respect that I should have. I just wanted to let you know I’ve very sorry for all the wrong things I did while I was at AGC. It was hard for me to know how to act because I never really had anyone that cared and loved me as much as you did. You were like a mother and father I never had. I just wanted to let you know that I now understand that everything you did and said was because you loved me and you did not want to see me get hurt.”
-Amanda
“You have been exactly what me and my child has needed. You accepted me when my own family was ashamed of me. You led me to Christ and help me to believe. You have made a big difference in my life. And even though my father can’t be with me I’m proud to say that you are. Thanks for being there and caring so much.”
-Lori
“Thank you for taking me in when I needed a good and safe place for me and my baby to stay. If you don’t mind I would like for you to be my baby’s grandparents.”
-Heather
“Thank you for talking to me when I have problems. Thanks also for taking care of me and for being a mother I never had. You are the mom I always wanted, for somebody to love me for me. You’re the best mom.”
-April
“Thank you for all you’ve done for me when I came. I didn’t know what direction I was going and you helped me see the light to what I need to do.”
-Brook
“I think you were a blessing from God to lead me to Him and it worked. You gave me and my baby a chance to a brighter future. You are the mom I always wanted. I love my mom but she never showed me love like you did.”
-Sandra
“Thank you for all the chances and all the times you have helped me hold my head up high and look for the good Lord in the sky. You have given me hope and I am very glad that you are part of my life. My life has changed in many ways. I love you and thank you so much for all the love you have gave me and my little girl.”
-Megan.
“I often wonder where I would be without AGC. I would not be a Christian and I might not have my daughter. But I did meet you and because of you I can look forward to tomorrow and the days ahead. My real mom and dad don’t want me anymore, but you do and that gives me the best feeling in the world. I want you to know that because of you I am going to heaven when I die and that I now have a mom and dad that love me for who I am.”
